When we decided we were going to accept pets here at Whispering Pines Bed and Breakfast, we knew we’d need to provide the pups a nice little treat, just like we do the people guests. These treats are loved by many of our furry visitors and they become our quick friend knowing we have these.
Cran-Apple Dog Treats
These are our homemade dog treats that we provide for our visiting pups!
Ingredients
- 2 cups whole-wheat flour
- 1 cup oatmeal
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1/2 cup fresh apples minced
- 1/4 cup dried cranberries minced
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350℉
- Mix together the flour and oatmeal. Stir in milk. Add in minced apples and cranberries, stir together until dough forms.
- Place dough on floured counter/surface and roll out to about 1/2 inch (2.5 cm) thickness.
- Cut dough with desired cookie cutter shapes (you can also roll into round cookies), and place on a lined cookie sheet.
- Bake for about 25 to 35 minutes, or until cookies are golden brown and firm.
- Store in refrigerator or freezer.* Serve to good boys and good girls, humans can eat these too if you want to try them out!

*These will hold for quite sometime in the freezer so don’t worry if you have a lot!
